Online slots strategy ( intro )

This article is just a small intoduction to people that have no experience at all in slot machines
gambling, however it may contain some definitions or tips that even the experienced gambler tend to ignore and every great sucess comes from the bases. So please read it. it´s in your interest.

Nowaday´s slots are an example of high technology, working off custom designed computer programs that randomly select numbers and winning combinations. The odds and winning percentages are programed by the manufacture and are calculated simulating the millions of spins made with computer.

Slots are basically mechanical devices that use 3, 4, 5 or more circular reels or several sizes. These reels are marked or painted with symbols and or numbers. The most popular symbols are Cherries, Bars, the Jackpot Symbol, and then of course there is the Number 7.

Themed Slot machines are growing in popularity, and trade off a themed game such as Tomb Raider, or the American Flag and get painted red, white and blue.

There are different kinds of slot machines that a player must be aware of before he can procceed to a winning strategy.

Three Reels / Four Reels :

Everyone knows it is easier to get 3-of-a-kind than 4-of-a-kind, and much easier to line up 3 matching symbols or numbers than to match up 4! Players should therefore look for 3 reel machines when playing.

Progressive Slots :

These slots are normally 4-Reel machines, offering open-ended Jackpots that increases in value after each pull, on every machine that is connected to a group. The Top Jackpot is only won if the player has bet the maximum bet or played the maximum number of coins for that pull, and all the winning symbols line up in order on the pay-line. These slots do not pay out very often. Player wanting to play should pick a slot whose Primary and Secondary Jackpots are at a high level.

2-Coin vs. 3-Coin Machines :

On a 2-Coin slot machine, the 2nd-coin play will pay a whole lot more than just double the 1-coin Jackpot for the Top Jackpot (perhaps even the Top 2 or 3 Jackpots!) ie: Playing on a 2-coin machine, the Top Jackpot payoff is three 7's, paying $1000. Playing just 1 coin, the same 3- 7's pays only $400 . The 3-Coin machine will show much higher payoffs for the top jackpots with the three coins played. However,... 3-Coin machines might look much better in their payoff than 2-Coin machines, but this is not the case as players also need to be more to get this, and so also end up losing more!

Important: Players must know the diamond Rule when playing progressive slots: no matter what slot is being played - play the maximum number of coins. If a player hits the jackpot and only bet 1 coin on a 3-coin machine. Crazy, isn´t it ?

One Payline vs. Three Paylines :

The payline is usually the marked center line in most Slots. Winning symbols or numbers must line up on this line and this line only to make up a winning combination. However, some slots play with 3 paylines - top, center and bottom of the screen - and any winning combination falling on any of the paylines will pay out. Players should then look for machines with multiple paylines to put higher their chances to win - by even getting double and triple payouts when winning combinations happen on a top and middle payline, for instance! The payouts are not large though, and the Top Jackpot is only paid out when a winning combination is lined up in the correct order on the bottom, or third payline. Three-Payline machines are also usually 3-coin machines, making play more "expensive", and then some slots have 5, 7 and even 9 paylines - basically meaning that players must play up to 9 coins a pull to be eligible for the Top Jackpot. Then again, there is another little rule : stick to playing 2-Coin, 3-Reel, 1-Payline Slots.

Double-Up Symbols :

Many Slots are now also making use of amazing Double-Up symbols on their reels! These symbols, usually a circle or a diamond in a circle, and with the words "Double" across them, inform the player that the payoff has now doubled and that the symbol can be substituted for any other on the reel. Casinos obviously do not carry many of these Machines and when they do, the Machine is usually in the murky somewhere of the casino and surrounded by bad machines.

Tips about Blackjack

where did Blackjack appear from? I'm sure that no one knew that this game, which
was a modified version of "Ving-et-un" would become so popular. Blackjack really started
to catch fire when it came to America. As far as legal gambling goes, it was limited. Gambling

was legalized in Las Vegas in the early 1930s. Blackjack really hit its stride in the
1950s.
So what started it all? In 1956, a book was published called "The Optimum Strategy in Blackjack."
There was no looking back. People started to awaken to the idea that Blackjack was a gambling
game that could be beaten. More books followed, and the race to knowledge was on. In the 1960s, the wish to beat the game reached a fever pitch when Professor Edward O. Thorp released
his work "Beat the Dealer."

Soon after, teams all over the country formed up. Bright students of Blackjack got together and tried
to beat the game in Las Vegas and every where. The strategy evolved from playing the
percentages to counting cards. Perhaps one of the most famous Blackjack players was Ken Uston.

He was so good that casinos were forced to blackball him. The word was out loud and clear --
Blackjack can be beaten.

The game of Blackjack is very simple. The object of the game is to beat the dealer. To do so, you
must either have a hand closer to 21 than the dealer or you need the dealer
to bust. The game starts with you receiving two cards. The value of each card is based upon its number rank. For instance, a three of clubs is worth three. Face cards are worth 10 each, and Aces can be worth one or 11 -- you choose.

If the first two cards are an Ace and a face card or 10, then you have Blackjack and win automatically. The bet pays off 1.5 to 1. When it's your turn, you have two main choices to make --
stand or hit. To stand means to pass. In other words, you think your hand is good enough where it is. To hit is to take another card. You can take as many cards as you like, provided that your total count is 21 or under.

Here are some quick tips to help you get the most out of Blackjack.

Knowing Baccarat

Knowing Baccarat

One of the first games I learned was Baccarat. I didn´t know that it was one of the best games in the casino to
play. The house advantage in Baccarat is very low, and you have a great shot at bringing home some money. So why doesn´t more people play casino game? I think the answer is two-fold. First, not many people understand Baccarat, which is a shame since it's so easy to learn. Second, I think many players
don't like the fact that you, as the player, watch the game more on this in a moment.

Baccarat was designed for the wealthy. The game was held in lavish rooms where thousands, even millions, of dollars were on the line with each hand. The game featured multiple dealers. Eventually, Baccarat migrated to the pit. It was set up just like Blackjack. All the ceremony was stripped out of the game, and the table limits were
lowered so that the everyday gambler could play.

The gameis about of two hands -- Banker and Player. Each hand
is dealt two initial cards. Depending on the value of those two
cards, one additional card may be issued. As a player, your
goal is to make a bet on the hand you think will win.
There's also a third bet possible -- the tie. Ties don't happen
much in Baccarat, and it's really a sucker's bet.

This takes us to the second point on why more people aren't playing. The only interaction you have with Baccarat is the placement of your wager. Once you do that, you sit back and watch the dealer play out the hand. Once the hand is over, you are either collecting your winnings or placing another wager. I
think people want a little more interaction with the game.

That's too bad, because a lot of money can be made at the
Baccarat table. I've been known to saddle up and play for hours
on end. It's the only game I know of where you can walk up, play
without knowing anything, and still have a great chance to return
as a winner.
